Fabric raffle for children's charity

My other half .. the sporty.. keep fit nutcase is doing a sponsored cycle from the 25th to 28th May he will be taking part in a cycle challenge starting from London and going via Bruges to Brussels. Over the course of 3 days he  will cover approximately 360km.... (I know he is crackers)... imagine the pain in his backside after that .. I won't hear the end of it....He is doing it for a great charity called Brainwave

The Brainwave Centre Ltd

Charity Registration No. 1073238
Founded in 1982, Brainwave works with families to deliver individual home based therapies that help children with disabilities reach their full potential. This can be anything from walking to recognising numbers and covers a range of conditions including Autism, Down’s Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.

We thought it might be nice to give him a helping hand with his fundraising as he would love to raise £1,000 for this great cause - all  the  money that  he raises will go directly to the Brainwave charity.

So we thought that we might have a little raffle for you fabric lovers and with this new delivery of Valorie Wells' cocoon arrive in - we thought that would be a nice prize.

How does it  work ?... I hear you ask -it will run just like a raffle - it will be £2.00 a ticket and each person who buys a ticket will be entered into the  draw for the fabric stack.

How do you buy a ticket ? - The money is collected through a site called just giving.

Simply click on this link here to be taken to James' spot on just giving and follow the instructions from there payment can be made through paypal or debit/ credit card.

Please leave your name  on the Just giving site and a comment on  our blog here

The Prize 16 fat quarters of gorgeous fabric valued at  £48.00 including fabrics from Valorie Wells' cocoon collection, Dena Designs and a couple of other co-ordinating fabrics.

The raffle will run until Friday the 18th May @ 6pm when a winner will be drawn.
Keep and eye on our blog as the winner will be mentioned here
Lots of luck to everyone and thank you very ... very much

  1. done! ... btw minimum donation is £2 (not a problem!) but maybe the price of a ticket should therefore be £2 (rather than two chances?) Just thinking of how to maximise your fundraising!

  8. How fantastic and how brilliant of your OH to do such an amazing thing. Both my boys are on the autistic spectrum, and we know from our own experience, and talking to other mums and dads at our local support group, that this kind of help is absolutely essential. It can make all the difference to people who are sometimes at their wits end. Will publicise it as widely as I can :-)
