Her new summersault (love the name)  fun, quirky and childlike range does not disappoint- and we have chosen a couple to stock  in the shop.. we also want to give some of the summersault love out to you ... in the form of a giveaway

The prize:- 6 fat quarters of Erin McMorris  fabrics from her new summersault collection .... (have a look here to see which ones you would choose)
What do I have to do to enter?:  Just answer this question: ..
have you ever somersaulted... and can you still do it?
My answer to this question would be ... yes I have .. and can I still do it?... hell no - I like eclairs to much..
The competition ends on Friday the 22nd of July

The winner will be chosen at random

  1. I used to love to somersault... no chance now - unless maybe I was in deep water, in private, wearing a full black wetsuit... Yeah, no chance!

  3. yep I could somersault, I probably could still manage one just about, on a nice plush carpet with lots of cushions about, what I miss being able to do is cartwheels, I have no idea how I ever managed to launch myself to perform those!

  5. Somersault I'd love too be able to but it's not within my powers and never has been. Now a fabric line called Summersault, that I could cope with quite the thing.

  8. I used to do lots of somersaults on dry land when I was a child. I don't bounce as well as I used to these days though! Now I only somersault when I tumble turn in the pool.

  12. It was a long time ago, I wouldn't dare try now! The children would laugh and I'd probably do my back in! Love Erin McMorris fabric and I've heard this goes well with Park Slope so I would be delighted to win. Thanks for the chance to win.

  14. Only on a trampoline as a child, not sure I'd have the nerve now!

  15. No I cannot, never have and most likely now, never will! I was always jealous of the girls that could though.

  16. as a child i could do all sorts of fancy somersaults and other acrobatics! now i can still russel up a forward and backward roll given enough room (i take up alot more space now than when i was little). I can even perform a cartwheel if needed! (usually to prove to little girls that old biddies like me can do that sort of thing cos they never believe you) but bridges and associated flips are now completely out cos my backs has gone into disrepair! Interestingly my son insists they are called gambowls!

  17. Nope and nope lol!
I could never even do a cart wheel so I'm so jealous of all you guys that can! I'll blame it on my dainty wrists and not my two left feet lol!

Love those fabrics I'm dying to come and have a fabric splurge I just need more hours in the day to get to have a stitchy play! xx

  18. I could, but I don't know if I'd be able now and I don't think I'd like to find out either!!LOL

  19. I don't think I've ever done a perfect somersault--my gawkiness made me very uncoordinated growing up! And now there is no way I'd even try to do that--I'm sure my kids would laugh at me!

  20. The only time I have ever done it was on a trampoline when I was still at school - does that count? I have also done it underwater! But doubt I could do either again now, and certainly not from a standing start - straight to hospital if I tried that! Lovely fabrics, she is one of my fav designers. Thanks for the giveaway Gwen!

  22. As much as I would love to be able to say yes, I've never been able to somersault :o( - I'm impressed at the number of people above me who can though! I don't think I could even manage it in the swimming pool, although I would be willing to try, to win some of this lovely fabric (noseclip anyone? .....)

  23. I could do a somersault but feel at 8 months pregnant it's probably best not to try at the moment - gorgeous fabric I love that raindrop print.

  24. never been able to somersault but cartwheels were a speciality. not anymore though, 25 years down the line from my last sports day.....

  25. I used to somersault. I don't think I can today as I have my knee in a splint after a somersault downstairs at the weekend! I think I would somersault if I won this lovely giveaway though, thanks for the chance.

  26. oooh no....and no - I'm far too tall and unco-ordinated to try. I do love the fabric though - just what we need with this yucky summer weather at the moment :o)

  27. I used to try when I did gymnastics... I remember trying to somersault over a horse (not a real one obviously - the gym kind) and banged my head. Ouch! No chance of doing one now... am an old old lady. Great giveaway, thanks for the chance.

  28. I did once! I didn't really expect it to work but it did well until I fell on my face. I don't think I could do it now and I dread to think what sort of cracking noise my knees would make if I subjected them to that.

  29. I've never been able to summersault on the ground, but I did used to be abl to do them on a trampoline! Now? Erm! Unlikely! Although I may manage a rather ungraceful forward tumble!

  30. I used to somersault a lot as a child and have recently rediscovered the joy of a good roly poly as I try to teach my son how to do it. It's very liberating...I'm even thinking of having a go at cartwheels again too....oh and rolling down a hill, yippee!

  31. I used to be able to. However I'm not about to attempt it again anytime soon - it would no end well. Last time was on a trampoline - was fine until I landed, and ended up waist high in icy cold filthy water.

  32. I'm not sure that I ever got further than forwards and backwards rolls as a child, but I certainly couldn't somersault now - I can barely stand!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes, used to! And I actually did manage another one the other day, but it was on a trampoline... Not sure if that counts, but my back sure thought it did!

    Beautiful fabrics!

  34. If you mean being totally in the air with no body part touching the ground then a big defo NO - I have never been able to do that....but I can still do a forward roll (on a very soft surface) at the ripe old age of 48 - not bad eh - mind you, I need to lie down afterwards lol xx

  35. I used to be very able to do this but no longer! I, like you, love eclairs too!!
